Music composer Ilaiyaraaja has sent a legal notice to the makers of Ajith ’s Good Bad Ugly (GBU) for the unauthorised use of his compositions and has demanded ‘5 crore in compensation.
Three of Ilaiyaraaja’s songs — Ilamai Idho Idho (Sakalakala Vallavan), En Jodi Manja Kuruvi (Vikram), and Oththa Roova (Nattupura Pattu) — featured in the movie, allegedly without authorisation from the musician. Apart from demanding monetary compensation, the veteran composer also sought a written apology from the makers.
A source close to Ilaiyaraaja tells us that the makers of GBU ignored the first notice served to them, and so, a second notice has been
served.
We also hear that the producers of the Ajith-starrer will soon issue an official statement addressing the issue.
