RRB NTPC CBT 1 2025: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to conduct the RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam 2025 in the month of April. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 11,558 vacancies across the country for both graduate and undergraduate-level posts under the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC).

Although the exact exam dates have not yet been officially announced, they are anticipated to be released soon on the official websites of the respective RRBs. Once published, candidates will be able to check their exam schedule, download their admit card, and view the city intimation slip through the official portals including www.rrbcdg.gov.in and www.rrbapply.gov.in.

Candidates must be aware that the RRB NTPC admit card will be available four days prior to the scheduled examination date. The city intimation slip, which provides candidates with the name of their examination city in advance, will be released ten days before the exam. These documents can be accessed by logging in with the user ID, password, and captcha code used during registration.


Selection process and detailed exam pattern
The selection process for NTPC posts will be carried out in multiple stages, including computer-based tests (CBTs), a computer-based typing skill test or computer-based aptitude test (where applicable), followed by document verification.


The CBT 1 will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions divided into three sections. These include general awareness with 40 questions, mathematics with 30 questions, and general intelligence and reasoning with 30 questions. The total exam duration will be 90 minutes.

Expected shift timings for CBT 1
Due to the large number of applicants, the CBT 1 exam will be held in multiple shifts across various centres. There will be three shifts per day. Shift 1 is scheduled from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, with a reporting time of 7:30 am. Shift 2 will be held from 12:45 pm to 2:15 pm, with reporting at 11:15 am. Shift 3 is from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, and candidates must report by 3:00 pm.
