Victoria Beckham has been slammed by fans after making a "selfish" move as her former footballer husband David Beckham got knighted. He became Sir David yesterday (November 4) in a ceremony at Windsor Castle, with King Charles touching him on each shoulder with a sword in a move David had coveted for decades.
Victoria became Lady Victoria Beckham, but sparked controversy in the background of one video as she appeared to extend her leg and "strike a pose" when she realised the camera was turned towards her. Viewers rushed to social media to point out the faux pas as Victoria perfectly rearranged herself while her husband knelt in front of the king.
One X user tweeted: "Haha Vicky suddenly noticed the camera was on her and stuck the leg out, strike a pose! It's not about you Vicky!"
Someone else said: "It's Lady Vicky to you now please, she really is Posh Spice now!"
A third said: "I like her but I noticed it too and I thought how sad she couldn't just be in the moment."
However, others rushed to Victoria's defence as one fumed: "Some people can just never be happy for others! It's her husband and her family moment, let live it's easier."
"It is partially about her, to be honest. Without their combined fame there's no way we'd give a knighthood to a footballer who let us down at every major tournament we went to," echoed another fan.
Somebody else agreed: "Has she not played a part in his success? Behind every great man, etc.?" while the original commenter hit back: "Well of course. It's just the fact that she can't just stand there proudly like his mum and dad did. She had to strike a pose when she realised she's on camera, always thinking of how she looks."
