With colder weather on the way, there's nothing more warming than a good homemade soup.
You can easily whip up a soup at home - there's endless possibilities and combinations for you to create.
Whether you want a chunky vegetable soup or a smooth creamy tomato soup, there's something for everyone.
It can be hard to make sure your soup is the right consistency, but with one simple ingredient, you'll be able to thicken it easily.
BBC Good Food says adding yoghurt is the perfect item for the job.
It says: "Adding extra cream can thicken a creamy or blended soup like this wild mushroom-soup, but stirring in a spoonful of thick yogurt can be more effective.
"Be careful not to boil the soup once you've added the cream or yogurt or it may split."
Yogurt will not only thicken your soup but it will add a creamy flavour to your dish making it even more delicious.
But don't worry, if you would rather add something else, you can also use flour or cornflour.
BBC Good Food says: "Put a tablespoon of either into a small bowl and stir in 2-3 tbsp of the soup until you have a smooth mixture.
"Stir this back into the soup and bring it to a simmer. Cook for a few minutes to allow the starch granules to burst to thicken, and to cook out any flour flavour."
If you're wondering which soups you could make or need some inspiration, there's a huge range of recipes you can try.
For example, you could make a spiced carrot and lentil soup, a classic chicken noodle soup or even a leek, bacon, and potato soup.
By making this small addition to your meal, you can ensure your soup will be the perfect consistency and you won't be faced with a watery or flavourless meal.
