Netflix fans were thrilled yesterday following the announcement that one of the biggest horror movies of 2025 is now available to stream on the platform.
Horror fans in the US can now watch the 2025 movie I Know What You Did Last Summer on Netflix, and it's arrived just in time for Halloween.
The film, based on the iconic 1997 movie of the same name, takes place 27 years after the Tower Bay murders in the second film.
It stars Madelyn Cline as Danica Richards, Chase Sui Wonders as Ava Brucks, Jonah Hauer-King as Milo Griffin and Tyriq Withers as Teddy Spencer.
Freddie Prinze Jr and Jennifer Love Hewitt also reprise their roles as Ray and Julie, while Sarah Michelle Gellar also returns in a special cameo appearance.

On X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Netflix shared the exciting news that the film is now available to stream with a clip from Gellar's scene.
Taking to X, horror fans shared their thoughts on the new addition, with many expressing their excitement.
One fan wrote in the comments: "I can't believe I'm saying this but this is the best legacy sequel/requel so far. It takes big swings and has fun doing it."
"Netflix just made my weekend perfect," another viewer enthused, as a third stated: "I loved this movie, for me this is the best movie of the year."
However, not everyone was on the same page, as one fan admitted it was "okay" but "nothing like the original", while another complained: "This movie felt forced and not needed at all."
Nevertheless, plenty of other Netflix subscribers were delighted, with one commenter calling the film "amazing", while one more praised the throwback scene with Gellar, adding: "I loved this cameo."
The Rotten Tomatoes synopsis for I Know What You Did Last Summer 2025 reads: "When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences.
"A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they're forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer... and is hell-bent on revenge.
"As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help."
I Know What You Did Last Summer is available to stream on Netflix in the US. Viewers in the UK and other countries can access it via VPN or purchase it on Prime Video, Sky Store or Apple TV.
