Meghan Markle has been placed at the top of a "most disliked celebrity" list, currently holding 48,000 votes. Website Ranker.com places celebrities on the list depending on where their viewers have put them, and coming out on top was Meghan Markle, Prince Harry was not too far behind at all, coming in at the third most disliked celebrity.
The pair have been controversial ever since they left the UK in what was known at the time as "Megxit", they've opted for a "quiet life" in the US where they have since taken on various projects including Netflix deals and heading up multiple awards ceremonies. They recently sparked fresh uproar after Meghan landed a spot on the panel for Fortune's Most Powerful Women, and both Meghan and Harry collected a humanitarian award, both of which landed them in hot water with talk show hosts across the UK and America.
They've remained a talking point for both UK citizens and Americans alike following their swift exit to the US shortly after Meghan and Harry tied the knot and had their first baby. Their high ranking on the list has been doing the rounds since it was released, and viewers have had a lot to say.
One user wrote on X: "Meghan Markle is deemed the most disliked celebrity of the year AGAIN". As another said: "And people said she'd never be successful at anything! Congratulations Megs, we have faith that you'll continue to do well in this category."
Another joked: "After she saw this, to improve her image, she shed some fake tears and made sure the photographer captured that tear while at her friend's sport event." A fourth fumed: "She can't read a room! Everyone is tired of her. We know exactly who she is and the more she forces herself on everyone the more she proves us right!"
Meanwhile, others have fumed that Meghan shouldn't be considered a "celebrity", while others were absolutely furious that she managed to hit the top of the list.
Meghan and Harry took places one and three on the list, but placed in between them was Sean Combs, who was sentenced to over four years in prison earlier this month after being convicted on prostitution-related charges involving his two ex girlfriends.
Other people included on the list include Oprah Winfrey, who came in at number four, Jada Pinkett Smith at number five and Ellen DeGeneres at number six.
Chrissy Teigen, Amber Heard, Billy Cosby and Kris Jenner were also celebrities who were all placed within the top 10.
