Emmerdale fans say 'last episode I'll ever watch' as ITV soap takes dark turn

Emmerdale fans have threatened to stop watching for good after the latest ITV soap storyline took a dark turn. April Windsor was still in her school uniform and walking to the bus stop when she was accosted by drug lord Ray, who once again tried to manipulate her into sleeping with older men to pay back her supposed 'debt'.

Disturbed fans thought the storyline was getting "too dark" and took to social media to complain, with one writing: "This could be the last episode I ever watch..." while someone else said: "How can this nonsense be continuing with Ray for so long without him being caught out?"

A third fan tweeted: "This April storyline is going too dark at the moment, too much."

However, other fans were loving the latest developments in the Robron drama, as Robert Sugden struggled to come clean to his ex-husband Aaron Dingle about his current husband Kev, who he met in prison.

Robert was even spotted hiding behind a wall as Kev and Aaron met - with Kev about to move in with Claudette and Charles.

One fan tweeted: "Rob is playing with serious fire!"

And another agreed: "Robert peeking around the corner has me wheezing!"

A third X user tweeted: "Robert taking inspiration off John for hiding. Alas he isn't entirely in plain sight."
