CSIR UGC NET December 2025: Registration Deadline Extended by 3 Days

Good news for candidates appearing for the CSIR UGC NET December 2025 exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the application deadline by three days. Candidates who have not yet applied can now submit their forms on the official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in, until October 27, 2025. The previous deadline was October 24.

About CSIR UGC NET
The CSIR NET exam is conducted twice a year—June and December—for candidates in the science stream. The exam determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions, and admission to PhD programs.

Correction Window
Candidates who have already registered can make corrections to their application forms between October 27 and October 29, 2025. The NTA has clarified that no further extensions will be provided, so candidates must apply or make corrections within this timeline.

Exam Mode and Shifts
The CSIR NET December 2025 exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at various centers across India. It will be held in two shifts:

• First Shift: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• Second Shift: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Admit cards will be issued to all successfully registered candidates within the scheduled time.
