EastEnders' Nicola Mitchell set for brutal twist as Shireen's return 'sealed'

' Nicola Mitchell could be set to face a major twist following her admission over Shireen's death. Earlier this week, fans saw would be starting work on the location where Shireen's body was buried.

Earlier this year, viewers became aware of Shireen, the late girlfriend of Nicola and Teddy's eldest son, Harry Mitchell. ago and the Mitchell's left Dartford following her disappearance to escape the trouble surrounding her disappearance.

Teddy had been planning a secret work project in Dartford, where the family previously lived until they fled following Shireen's death. However, Nicola had been attempting to persuade her partner not to return to their previous neighbourhood in fears of drama kicking off again.

Earlier this month, He claimed she was at an industrial estate, implying That location turned out to be Paradise Park, where Harry had planned to build a luxury apartment complex.

On Monday night's episode, viewers saw Nicola in a state of distress as she attempted to dig up Shireen's body in order to move it before workmen started working on the disused industrial estate. During the tense scenes, Nicola revealed why she killed Shireen – explaining that Harry's ex-girlfriend knew that Teddy wasn't Barney's dad.

But on Tuesday, Nicola and Teddy scrambled as they managed to pay off her accomplice Benji, who buried Shireen's body, after he revealed he'd dropped a piece of Nicola's jewellery at the site.

They offered him a huge sum of cash to dig her body up and dispose of it elsewhere. Panicked over the thought of Nicola returning to jail again, Teddy took matters into his own hands.

At the end of the episode, when Benji was seen digging up Shireen's body, he found himself surrounded by police after they received a tip off. While being dragged away, he was left screaming that Nicola was the person who should be questioned. Meanwhile, Teddy was seen sat in his car looking on – revealing that he had tipped the police off.

Now, fans believe that there could be a major twist in store for the Mitchell family. One said: "Benji got arrested, by Teddy dobbing him in. The police will search the site and find no body! We will spend the next 7 months inbetween other storylines and come time Harry's ex will appear back on the square (just as Harry and Gina have formed a nice relationship).

"Shireen will break to Teddy that Barney isn't his. Teddy will make Nicola go missing with the help of Benji who wants revenge on her."

A second added: "I think that's pretty much spot on what will happen. She'll have Harry's kid with her too I bet." While a third penned: "Shireen will come back with the child just as Gina finds out she's pregnant."

Meanwhile a fourth added: "There's very few theory's on here that I agree with, but this is certainly one I think will happen. I will actually be shocked if they find a body." Fans have seen Harry, who hasn't had a relationship since Shireen's disappearance, attempt to grow closer to Gina Knight – admitting that she was the first person he'd liked since his ex-girlfriend.
