Arsenal have agreed an initial loan deal with Hamburg for Portuguese attacking midfielder Fabio Vieira. The 25-year-old is flying to Germany from Porto to seal the move with midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga also set to join HSV on a permanent deal.
As revealed by Mirror Football on Sunday morning, Lokonga is set to end his four-year stay with the Gunners to embark on a new chapter in the Bundesliga.
He completed his medical checks on Sunday evening and Hamburg were awaiting the results of those examinations on Monday morning ahead of clinching a potential double swoop for the Arsenal duo.
Vieira's loan transfer is also poised to include a buy-option and there is every chance he could leave the Emirates on a permanent basis next summer, though the figures negotiated are currently undisclosed.
On the incomings front, Arsenal remain on course to confirm the capture of Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie before tonight's 7pm deadline. The 23-year-old travelled to London on Sunday for his medical tests, the agreement is an initial loan with a £45million permanent option that can be formally triggered at the end of the season.

Hincapie said his goodbyes to the Leverkusen supporters on Saturday after being an unused substitute in the dramatic 3-3 draw at Werder Bremen.
The Ecuadorian is expected to be Arsenal's only deadline day signing barring any drastic twists and he will also be the eighth new arrival at the Emirates following a hectic summer.
The centre-back's impending move will also allow Jakub Kiwior to sign for Porto. The Pole will join the Portuguese giants on an initial loan that will become permanent and the package is worth up to £23.4m with various bonuses.

Reiss Nelson remains a late option for Fulham, where he spent last season on loan, and Crystal Palace. Fulham remain interested in another loan, though they are currently prioritising finalising the arrivals of Kevin from Shakhtar Donetsk for a club-record fee and AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze, who has jetted to west London for his medical examinations.
As of Sunday night, Arsenal and Marseille were still in contact over Oleksandr Zinchenko but the French giants have since pounced to land Emerson Palmieri from West Ham.
Zinchenko's salary was complicated a deal, anyway. He's in the final year of his Arsenal contract but will find minutes hard to come by this season if he remains with the Gunners.
