Indore (Madhya Pradesh): “Coffee is a language in itself.” – Jackie Chan. For the members of Indore Brewing Club (IBC), this language speaks in nutty aromas, roasting temperatures, and pour-over perfection. What began as a humble caffeine-fuelled gathering has today brewed itself into Indore’s most flavourful community of coffee lovers.
Founded in January this year by coffee consultant Paresh Gehi, along with Dhruv Arora, Sahil Panjabi, and Natansh Upadhyay, IBC is more than just a club—it’s a movement. From green beans to golden brews, IBC celebrates the complexity of coffee in all its forms. “Coffee isn’t just a beverage—it’s a journey,” says Gehi. “From honey-washed beans of Coorg to fermented blends from Dubai, each cup has a story.”
At their signature free workshops, held in collaboration with local cafés, visitors get hands-on experience with beans ranging from commercial classics to rare international gems. Participants learn the art and science of brewing—how roast levels impact flavour, what over-roasting does to taste and how every step changes the outcome of the final cup.
Think you know your mocha from your macchiato? At IBC, you’ll be surprised. The sessions are packed with first-time visitors, home brewers and even curious tea drinkers (yes, we saw you sneaking a sip!). Speciality coffee-tasting events offer a delicious digital detox, making weekends more meaningful—one sip at a time.
Now with 10 core founders and an ever-growing community, IBC is brewing more than coffee—it’s brewing connection, culture and a whole lot of caffeine-fuelled joy.

I started coming to IBC in March and haven’t missed a single session since! I went from pre-ground beans and a moka pot to grinding fresh beans and investing in a proper setup. It’s now my weekend ritual. I even brought kombucha today! It’s not just about coffee here—we explore tea, matcha, kombucha… basically, we brew everything but drama.

It’s been about a month and a half since I joined, and today I brewed my very first coffee—Whisky Barrel! I’ve always loved black coffee, but now I understand how to brew it just right. Sahil, one of the founders, is patiently teaching me. I came here as a curious sipper, now I’m halfway to being a home barista!

Before IBC, I was loyal to instant coffee—don’t judge me! But these workshops changed everything. Now I can brew with confidence, whether I’m home or travelling. I explore different beans, play with methods and enjoy the process. IBC has taken me from clueless to confidently caffeinated. Honestly, I think I’m one brew away from writing my own coffee blog!

It’s been three months here and man—it’s been a blast! I had no idea coffee had so many layers and flavours. From fruity notes to nutty aftertastes, it’s like tasting a story in every cup. I’ve learned about sourcing, roasting and brewing. I’ve officially caught the coffee bug—and now, I’m planning to buy my own gear and go full brew-mode at home!
