The long-standing marriage between Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Ssunita Ahuja appears to be in troubled waters. According to a report by Hauterrfly, Ssunita filed for divorce on December 5, 2024, at the Bandra Family Court, citing serious issues in their nearly four-decade-long marriage. This report has once again started discussions around their relationship, which has often been under media scrutiny. Amid all this, a video of Ssunita talking about going through a tough phase is going viral.

Ssunita’s first YouTube vlog has gone viral, titled as a spiritual journey, the over 20-minute video shows Ssunita traveling from Mumbai to Chandigarh to visit the Maa Mahakali and Kal Bhairav temples. An emotional moment from the clip grabbed the attention, where Ssunita breaks down inside the temple. Recalling her early love for Govinda, she says, "When I met Govinda, I prayed that I get married to him and that my life goes well." She then issues a warning to those who she believes tried to damage her marriage:

“Koi bhi mera ghar todne ki koshish kare… Maa Kali sabke gale kaat degi. Ek acche insaan ko, acchi aurat ko dukh dena acchi baat nahi hai.” (Whoever tries to break my home… Maa Kali will punish them. It's not right to hurt a good person, a good woman.)

Ssunita also opened up about how difficult the past year has been, stating that people have said “hurtful and baseless things” about her and her family. She humorously calls herself the “internet queen” and says she doesn’t need paparazzi to stay relevant. When someone mentions Govinda being in the news, she responds with, “Woh mera pati hai, sirf mera.”

According to the recent report, Ssunita has filed for divorce under Section 13 (1)(i), (ia), and (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, citing adultery, cruelty, and desertion as grounds for separation. Govinda, reportedly, did not appear before the court after being summoned, prompting the court to issue a "notice to show cause" in May 2025. After rumours of Govinda and Ssunita Ahuja taking a divorce came to light recently, the actor's manager denies all claims, saying that no divorce is happening, in an interview with Hindustan Times.

For the unversed, Govinda and Ssunita Ahuja tied the knot in 1987. They are proud parents of two children, Tina Ahuja and Yashvardan Ahuja.
